Top Reasons NOTHING else comes even close for getting you into shape…and keeping you there.
We’ve all heard “Diet and Exercise’ is key to weight loss and fitness. Diet and Exercise, Diet and Exercise, we’ve heard it thousands of time.
But that’s easier said than done. For most people, dieting just doesn’t work.
That’s not just me saying it, it’s UCLA researchers in a published study.
Traci Mann, UCLA associate professor of psychology and lead author of the study says.
“You can initially lose 5 to10 percent of your weight on any number of diets, but then the weight comes back,”
She added, “We found that the majority of people regained all the weight, plus more. Sustained weight loss was found only in a small minority of participants, while complete weight regain was found in the majority.
She continued….“Diets do not lead to sustained weight loss or health benefits for the majority of people.”
Seems Depressing? Well, it gets worse.
Janet Tomiyaama a fellow UCLA researcher went further stating “Several studies indicate that dieting is actually a consistent predictor of future weight gain,”
“One of the best predictors of weight gain over the four years (of the study) was (a participant ) having had lost weight on a diet at some point during the years before,” “Even when you follow dieters four years, they’re still regaining weight,” she said.
If dieting isn’t the answer what is?
Nowadays, Ozempic and other G.L.P 1s medications are the rage. But there’s big problems there too. The least of is that dreaded ‘Ozempic Face’ everyone’s scared of.
A recent CDC report found the obesity is till on the rise in the US despite the GLP-1 boom.
Experts estimate only one in four patients on GLP-1s keep on using the medication past a year due to all the significant side effects.
And those who stop, gain back about 60% of the weight loss with 12 months.
We’re only just starting to learn about many of those dreaded side-effects, many which are serious. But, regardless of these side effects, the costs of these meds is alarming. Especially if you end up paying only to make yourself sick!
Clearly, GLP-1s are not the answer big pharma wants you to believe they are.
So, what does work?
Expert Researcher Professor Mann states
“Exercise may well be the key factor leading to sustained weight loss.
Studies consistently find that people who reported the most exercise also had the most weight loss.”
Ok, if exercise is key, what type of exercise works best and quickest?
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) has gained prominence and is now widely acknowledged as the most effective way to shape up.
Scientist and Researchers have proven HIIT is THE most effective way to shape up fast.
High-Intensity Interval Training incorporates full-body work utilizing variable time frames and rest cycles.
While science is only recently discovering these methods, we Martial Artist have ALWAYS trained that way.
Our training uses every muscle in your body from head to toe, so every session is a full-body workout.
The punching builds toned, muscular arms and strong shoulders. The kicking firms and strengthens your legs and rear. The cardio will trim and tighten your core and flatten your stomach.
Our training is exciting and fast-paced. Students have so much fun learning and practicing, they aren’t conscious of how hard they’re working.
To them, training and learning never FEELS like exercise.
In our classes there’s no downtime or lulls. While you’re building muscle and burning fat you’ll be improving cardiovascular strength and learning valuable skills all at the same time.
It is super important that you build muscle. It’s scientifically proven muscle burns much more calories, even at rest.
And there is another great benefit of our training. Our training reduces your appetite. So not only will you burn lots of calories during your training – you’ll also begin to eat less NATURALLY.
Find this hard to believe?
Researchers found that intense exercise has an appetite suppressing effect because of the activation of the molecule lac-phi which appears in the blood stream after intense exercise.
Dr Jonathan Long, a professor at Stanford studying this said…
“We all know exercise is beneficial. ‘But we wanted to take a look at that concept in more detail — we wanted to see if we could dissect exercise in terms of molecules and pathways.’
He continued saying his team began the research with interest in finding something, anything new that may help the obesity epidemic.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of molecules that activate in blood all the time, but the one which caught their attention was Lac-Phe, a combination of lactate and phenylalanine.
The Researchers at Stanford isolated this molecule, and administered it to test subjects with obesity to see how it would affect their appetite.
Over the next 12 hours, these test subjects were eating 50 percent less than they usually would.
After ten days, their total food intake and body weight had significantly dropped.
Dr. Long and his team then went on to a California racetrack to test their findings on larger animals.
They found that racehorses were also producing the compound after running….and…humans generate the molecule as well.
‘We estimate that the lac-phe pathway is responsible for about 25% of the anti-obesity effects of exercise,’ Dr. Long said.
Our training is also very helpful mentally too.
In Martial Arts we’ve always recognized there is a huge connection between the mind and the body. Now, science is learning the same.
In fact, exercise may be crucial to the well-being of people with depression, new studies prove.
Depression is not only mentally excruciating, it’s physically quite harmful, especially to your heart.
Heart health and depression often go hand-in-hand. Depression has been linked to higher probabilities that someone will develop heart disease and chest pain.
Depression has also been linked to other chronic medical conditions including diabetes, obesity, and kidney disease.
A study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association of Psychiatry found those with high fitness levels were 56 percent less likely to die from heart disease (even if) they were diagnosed with depression.
Research highlights several ways in which depression may ultimately impact health and mortality.
A University of Texas scientist studying the topic suggests that starting to exercise early in life and continuing to do it often – could protect both the mental and physical health of patients battling depression and facing heart disease risks.
This study also highlights the importance of exercise in overcoming a common dilemma among patients: how to cope with hopelessness.
Dr Trivedi, who leads the research says “the findings are just as relevant to younger age groups, in particular university-age young adults who are just entering the workforce”
He said: ‘This is the age where we typically see physical activity drop off because they’re not involved in school activities and sports.
‘The earlier you maintain fitness, the better chance of preventing depression, which in the long run will help lower the risk of heart disease.’
It’s amazing how simple consistent exercise has been proven to be more effective than many of the pharmaceutical company’s expensive products….and exercise has no side-effects.
Consistent exercise helps regulate your body chemistry, especially your hormones and will improve your mood and give you more energy.
In addition to getting stronger and feeling better mentally, it’s important you start showing results, sooner than later.
Anyone who’s tried shaping up knows how frustrating it can be. Getting fit and staying fit takes a long-term focus with a smart approach. What helps you stay on track is seeing results.
To get results you need REAL exercise.
Doctors say any exercise is good. And as opposed to sitting on the couch, any exercise is good.
But, an occasional hike or walk around the block is NOT going to transform your body. You may get stronger calves, but you won’t achieve what you really want.
And after a while without results, you’ll give up.… And your fitness problem only worsens.
Our training is a proven success. It doesn’t take long before most students need better fitting clothes.
But that’s because our students are-training correctly and consistently. Training which is easy to do because they’re having FUN.
To reach your goals you must stay motivated long-term. When you see your work starting to pay off staying motivated is much easier.
Consistency is everything. Our program is designed to help you from the very beginning.
Our training really is “The hardest Workout you’ll ever LOVE”
